A young gunsmith wept as the judge read her fate aloud in court today, chiding her for her apparent lack of remorse.
"Your lawyer should have told the court that you were remorseful," said Judge Mary Marlow Sommer.

Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty after a jury found that she had mistakenly loaded a live round into the revolver Baldwin was using on set.
This is the maximum sentence under New Mexico law. The court did not take into account the requests of Gutierrez-Reed's lawyers and herself for a probationary period. During the hearing, Hannah pleaded for a reduced sentence.
The prop weapon that Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was responsible for on the set of Rust contained the live round that killed cameraman Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza.
Alec Baldwin, the film's lead actor and producer, pleads not guilty to manslaughter charges and claims he did not pull the trigger. The trial of Alec Baldwin will take place in July this year.
