Toughening responsibility for war crimes: the government has submitted another important draft law to the Verkhovna Rada

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed to the Verkhovna Rada a law to toughen the penalties for war crimes. Details are not yet known.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law to increase responsibility for war crimes.  This was announced by the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram, reports UNN.  

"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine registered the draft law in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: Draft Law "On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine on Strengthening Responsibility for Military Offenses" (Reg. No. 10379)," Melnychiuk said.

He did not provide details of the document. The section with draft law cards on the VR website is currently unavailable.
