They demanded money from the widow of a fallen soldier for the demobilization of her son: a deputy was detained in Vinnytsia region

In Vinnytsia region, the SBU detained a deputy, a lawyer and his accomplice, who demanded money from the widow of a fallen soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the demobilization of her son. The perpetrators face up to 8 years in prison.

In the Vinnytsia region, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained a deputy from Vinnytsia region who demanded a bribe from the wife of a fallen soldier of the Armed Forces for the demobilization of her son. This is reported by UNN with reference to the SBU.
According to the results of complex measures, a deputy of one of the village councils of the Vinnytsia region was detained, who, together with a local lawyer and his accomplice, extorted money from the family of a fallen soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that in exchange for a bribe, the defendants promised the victim to speed up the procedure for demobilizing her son, a serviceman, who fought on the front line with his father.
According to preliminary investigation results, if the woman refused to pay, the defendants threatened her with artificial obstacles to her son's dismissal from military service.
Law enforcement officers documented the crimes of the defendants and detained them "red-handed" while transferring money from the victim
According to the case materials, the perpetrators chose their victim after learning that she had received monetary compensation for the loss of her husband on the battlefield. The defendants tried to get a "percentage" of the total amount. The defendants planned to divide the money obtained by criminal means among themselves.
During the searches, law enforcement officers found mobile phones and other material evidence of criminal activity.
Currently, all three defendants have been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 15, Part 4 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (incitement to completed attempted bribery of an official, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
The perpetrators are in custody. They face up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.

The SBU detained a Russian informant who was directing Russian KABs at Kharkiv. It is reported that on the instructions of the enemy, the man traveled around the northern outskirts of the front-line city, where he tried to identify spare command posts of Ukrainian troops.
