Ukraine is expected to experience a short-term cold snap down to -12° at night on December 13-14. Starting December 15, it is expected to warm up to +2-5° with sleet and ice.

Weather forecaster Natalia Didenko during a telethon noted that the cold snap in Ukraine is short-lived and only warming is expected in the near future, UNN reports.

Details

On the night of December 13-14, the lowest temperature will be -7-12 degrees. The lowest temperature is expected to be in  Vinnytsia and Ternopil regions, where it may reach -14.

During the day, the temperature will be -2-6 degrees.

But, according to Didenko, starting December 15, Ukraine is expected to warm up, so on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it will be +2-5 degrees.

Clouds will increase, precipitation will appear in the form of wet snow, so the situation on the roads and sidewalks will become more complicated.

"The short-term cold snap is associated with a cyclone that caused precipitation in Ukraine, which was replaced by an anticyclone of western origin. This is a powerful area of high atmospheric pressure, which is usually accompanied by dry weather. And it came to us with air of Arctic origin, which is absolutely normal for winter weather," the expert noted.

Snowfall and ice are expected on December 15-16
