Yevhenii Khmara discussed the situation on the front and support for Ukraine with Senator Richard Blumenthal. He called for limiting Russia's financing.

U.S. support is critically important for protecting our people. The United States can help stop this war on Ukraine’s terms. Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara emphasized this during a meeting with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, UNN reports.
I thanked him for his support and significant personal efforts to achieve a just peace for Ukraine. We focused on how to build long-term and mutually beneficial relations between Ukraine and the United States
The Defense Minister added that modern warfare is changing very rapidly. Ukraine has unique experience in adapting to changes on the battlefield and developing solutions that quickly make their way to combat deployment, and is ready to share these developments with its partners.
Khmara, together with Acting Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brigadier General Serhii Sobko, briefed the senator on the situation at the front, current threats, and the changes we are implementing to fight more effectively.
U.S. support is critically important for protecting our people. The United States can help stop this war on Ukraine’s terms. I separately emphasized that it is important to continue restricting Russia’s financial capabilities. This directly affects the aggressor’s ability to continue the war. I am grateful to Senator Blumenthal, Congress, the U.S. administration, and the American people for their support of Ukraine
