The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection denies allegations of imports of dangerous French cheese with Staphylococcus aureus, confirming that the cargo never entered Ukraine.

It is noted that false information is being spread on the Internet about dangerous cheese with staphylococcus aureus, which was exported from France.
On December 20, 2023, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection sent a request to the RASFF team at the European Commission to clarify the export of cheese from the EU to Ukraine and received a response that this cargo was not sent to Ukraine

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection warned that the RASFF portal is open to consumers, so information messages can be used to misinform the public in Ukraine.
The agency added that only official bodies should be trusted.
