Border guards can demand from men with many children an extract from the TCC protocol on the decision to defer, or a record of deferral in military registration documents.

Due to the repeated detection of forgery of documents from men who are allowed to cross the border, in particular from fathers with many children, border guards may demand an extract from the TCC protocol on the decision to defer, or a record of deferral in military registration documents. This was reported to UNN by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko.

Details

I advise everyone to carefully read the Rules of Border Crossing. In addition to the persons clearly specified in the clauses of the Rules, clause 2.6 stipulates that in case of martial law on the territory of Ukraine, other persons liable for military service who are not subject to call-up for military service during mobilization also have the right to cross the state border

- Demchenko said.

He noted that these persons liable for military service also include men with three or more dependent children under the age of 18.

I would like to emphasize once again that persons liable for military service are granted a deferral from military service during mobilization. Given that we have repeatedly detected forgery of documents related to large families, our inspectors can check this condition for men's departure, in particular, using documents from territorial recruitment centers. This can be an extract from the TCC protocol on the decision to defer, or a record of deferral in military registration documents

- Demchenko said.

Addendum

Earlier, Demchenko reported that there were no changes in the rules for crossing the border. He noted that the border guards continue to check documents, as they have identified a sufficient number of people whose real purpose of travel does not comply with the rules.

Social media reports that queues have formed at the borders with Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia to enter and leave Ukraine, as those who are not allowed to leave blocked the road for those who are leaving.
