Russian troops continue intense shelling and assault operations in southern Ukraine.

The situation in the southern sector remains quite tense. The enemy does not stop shelling and assault operations, trying to drive Ukrainian troops from the left bank of the Kherson region. Also, last day there were 9 enemy assaults near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, said Natalia Humenyuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, during a telethon on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"The situation remains quite tense. The enemy does not stop shelling. It is clear that they continue artillery pressure and the use of FPV, Lancet and other modifications with explosive munitions. The enemy's work is quite intense both on the right bank and on the left. On the left bank, they are trying to knock out our units, but continue to save armored vehicles. The assaults that took place over the last day of combat again inflicted losses on the enemy up to 70% of the assault groups that advanced," said Humenyuk.

She noted that in Zaporizhzhia region, the enemy does not stop attacking and is trying to storm the positions by land.

"Nine such attacks were conducted in the direction of Robotyne over the past day. The enemy continues to put pressure, but is also saving armored vehicles. The enemy's tactics also include sporadic spot rocket attacks," added Humenyuk.

According to her, the work of Ukrainian electronic warfare is very effective, which is confirmed by the occupiers themselves.

"It is different in different parts of the frontline. But even the occupants themselves note and complain in their publics that the work of the electronic warfare on our part is extremely effective. It's just like the classic: not every drone reaches even the middle of the Dnipro River," added Humenyuk.

In addition, she urged not to pick up drones that have been jammed by electronic warfare systems.

"Our electronic warfare system is quite effective, but I want to appeal to the local residents of the right bank. If you find similar drones that have been jammed, that have not worked and have survived and were found by you, do not pick them up and call the emergency services. Such a case happened yesterday in the Kherson region. Men brought home a drone that exploded. They suffered injuries incompatible with life," summarized Humenyuk.
