The investigation has identified the Russian military personnel involved in the murder of writer Volodymyr Vakulenko and three others, despite difficulties in obtaining witness statements.

Law enforcement officers have established new details of the death of children's writer Volodymyr Vakulenko and three other people. In particular, Kharkiv investigators named the suspects. This was announced during a briefing by the head of the Investigation Department of the Kharkiv Regional Police Serhiy Bolvinov, reports UNN.

Law enforcement officials explained that it was not easy to get the testimony of investigators, because people who were under occupation were afraid to testify.

Despite this, investigators managed to collect testimonies from more than 20 witnesses, and the criminal proceedings include 13 volumes. 

We know exactly what happened on the day of the execution and the day before. First, they kidnapped Vakulenko with his sick son, mocked and beat him. Then they released him and took him again a day later. We know that Volodymyr Vakulenko was tortured before his execution, forced to undress, searched for a trident tattoo, and beaten

According to the results of the examination, the cause of Volodymyr Vakulenko's death was gunshot wounds. Experts removed two bullets from a Makarov pistol from his body. He also had two broken fingers on his left hand.

Today, the names of the Russian military personnel involved in the murder of four residents of the Izium community have been identified and made public. These are 50-year-old Serhiy Udodenko, a native of Luhansk Oblast, and 33-year-old Vladislav Neskorodiev, with call signs "Udod" and "Lev". They served in the 4th company of the 4th battalion of the 204th rifle regiment of the lPR mobilization reserve of the 2nd army corps of the 8th Combined Arms Army of the southern military district of the russian armed forces

In this case, the investigation has identified the identities and circumstances of the murder of three more people, and investigators have indisputable evidence that these people were also killed by the "lion" and "udod".

Among the witnesses who testified to the investigation is a resident of the village of Kapitolivka, Yevheniy. The man went through the torture chamber of the Nazis and miraculously survived. For a week, the occupiers kept Yevhen in the basement and used physical violence to find out everything that interested the occupation authorities.

The National Police emphasizes that the investigation is not yet complete. According to Sergei Bolvinov, there may be more suspects in this criminal proceeding. "Udod and Lev will be put on the international wanted list in the near future.
