Ukraine plans to install metal detectors and luggage scanners in public places, such as transportation stations and shopping centers, to improve security. The Minister of Internal Affairs also emphasizes the importance of modern video surveillance systems for security and crime detection.
Metal detectors and baggage scanners are planned to be installed in public places in Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, UNN reports.

According to him, the security of public spaces requires a complete restructuring of approaches. Railway and bus stations, airports, shopping centers, etc. should be closely monitored.
Therefore, it is planned to install metal detectors and luggage scanners in public places, place additional barriers on the territory of railway stations, and install technical means of alerting the police

In addition, the minister said that the main thing is that it should be intelligent video surveillance systems with the ability to recognize faces, license plates, type, model, brand, vehicles.
"Everyone should understand that by installing video surveillance cameras, you get not equipment, but a sense of security, increased crime detection, and improved response," Klymenko added.
