A diesel reservoir was damaged at the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Russians are not able to ensure the safety of the station and called for the return of the Zaporizhzhia NPP under the control of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has received reports of damage to a diesel tank at the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. This was reported by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tykhyi, in X, stating that the Russians are not able to ensure even the basic safety of the station, writes UNN.

Details

"We have received reports of damage to a diesel tank at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. There was enough spilled fuel to power the station's emergency generators for 25 days," Tykhyi wrote.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that "the Russians not only stole the station, but are also unable to ensure its basic safety."

"This incident is a direct result of Russia's reckless replacement of licensed Ukrainian experts with unqualified temporary Russian operatives," Tykhyi stressed.

"Allowing this situation to continue will only lead to further accidents and dangers. The ZNPP must be returned to Ukrainian control; this is the only way to prevent further incidents," the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

Addition

March 4 marked three years since the occupation of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and the satellite city of Enerhodar by the Russians.
