Malfunction at the Yahodyn checkpoint has been eliminated: what is happening on the border with Poland

The Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint has resumed operations after technical problems with the Polish customs system. Currently, transport is being cleared in both directions as usual.

The Yahodyn checkpoint on the border with Poland has resumed normal operations after weekend disruptions. The situation on the Polish border was reported by the State Customs Service on Monday, UNN reports.

"The electronic customs clearance system of the Republic of Poland has resumed operation at the Yagodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint. Currently, the checkpoint is operating normally, vehicles are cleared in both directions," the customs service said on social media.

According to the State Border Guard Service, the following situation was observed at 9 o'clock at the exit from Ukraine towards Poland:

  • “Yahodyn” - 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed; passenger cars are temporarily not allowed);
  • “Ustilug - 15 l/a, 1 bus (pedestrians are not allowed to pass);
  • “Uhryniv” - 0 l/a, 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass);
  • “Rava-Ruska” - 0 l/a, 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass);
  • “Grushov - 0 l/a, 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass);
  • “Krakivets” - 0 l/a, 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass);
  • “Shehyni” - 0 l/a, 0 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are allowed in both directions);
  • “Smilnytsia” - 0 l/a, 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass).  

Last week, according to the State Border Guard Service, 563,000 people and 127,000 vehicles crossed Ukraine's western borders with the EU and Moldova (in Bukovyna). A total of 571 trucks with humanitarian aid were cleared.

On November 3, 98,000 people and 20,000 vehicles crossed Ukraine's western borders with the EU and Moldova (in Chernivtsi region). Over the past day, 46 thousand people left Ukraine. 27,000 of them crossed the border with Poland, while the rest went to other EU countries and Moldova. Over the past 24 hours, 52 thousand people crossed into Ukraine, 46 thousand of them are citizens of Ukraine.

On Saturday, November 2, in the evening, the customs clearance system at the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint started operating in emergency mode after a software upgrade. There were warnings about delays and accumulation of vehicles entering and leaving Ukraine.
