Russian security forces detained Abdul Gafarov, the head of the Alushta Muslim community in occupied Crimea, after a search of his home. Gafarov's arrest followed previous detentions of community members.
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian security forces raided the home of Abdul Gafarov, chairman of the Alushta Muslim religious community, on the morning of November 30. This is reported by "Crimean solidarity", writes UNN.

It is noted that the first information about the search was received at 6:20 am. Now there are five minor children in Gafarov's House.
In August, Gafarov was placed under administrative arrest under Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Organization of mass simultaneous stay and (or) movement of citizens in public places that caused a violation of public order). He spent four days in the pre-trial detention center. Then he was detained near the building of the Kiev District Court created by the Russian Federation in Simferopol, where he arrived for an open court session.
later it became known that employees of the "Center for Countering Extremism" took Abdul Gafarov to the Russian police department in Alushta.

On the morning of November 23, Russian security forces in Crimea conducted searches and detained three members of the Alushta Muslim religious community. We are talking about Imam Yusuf Ashirov, as well as two members of the community Vilena Useinova and Zinura Appazova. All of them live in the village of Verkhnyaya Kutuzovka. As a result, Ashirov received two days of administrative arrest, Useinov - 10 days, Appazov - 5 days.
As Crimean solidarity notes, this is not the first time that a religious community has been under pressure. In June 2020, Imam Ashirov was fined 5 thousand rubles for illegal missionary activities.
