In 2026, 130 future specialized academic lyceums in 22 different regions of Ukraine will receive funding to create STEM laboratories, natural science classrooms, and modern educational equipment. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko reported this, writes UNN.
These are institutions that will become part of the specialized senior school network from 2027. The government allocated over UAH 459 million for the first 85 institutions. The remaining 45 will receive funding shortly. Communities will be able to purchase equipment, multimedia, and furniture. In total, UAH 3.2 billion has been allocated this year for the renovation of educational spaces – for pilot lyceums, gymnasiums, and future academic lyceums
According to Svyrydenko, updating school infrastructure is one of the key areas of the "New Ukrainian School" reform to create conditions for quality learning and acquiring practical skills.
We are also updating the content of educational programs and creating opportunities for the professional development of teachers so that they can more effectively implement modern teaching methods
