First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska and Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi met in Kyiv with Andreas Schleicher, Director of Education and Skills, Special Advisor on Education Policy to the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Andreas Schleicher is known as the developer of the international PISA test, which allows to evaluate the educational system according to international standards. This allows countries to identify areas for modernization and improvement. Schleicher agreed to conduct such an assessment for education in Ukraine.

The Joint Action Plan signed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2023, and your personal involvement and expert support for the New Ukrainian School and vocational education reforms, have made it possible to achieve significant progress in these areas. Special thanks for supporting my initiative. After all, you were one of the speakers at the first First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit in 2021, when no one knew about this event and we were just starting to develop this community and cooperation platform.

Olena Zelenska emphasized that education is a strategically important component of Ukraine's resilience and contributes to the preservation and development of the country's potential. The First Lady noted that this project envisages the widespread integration of mental health knowledge and self-help skills into curricula from kindergarten to university.

An important focus of this work is the integration of mental health issues into the educational environment at all levels. In close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, we are implementing the priority project "Psychosocial Support and Psychological Assistance at All Levels of Education.
