On Tuesday, the United States reached separate agreements with Ukraine and Russia to suspend their attacks at sea and against energy targets, with Washington agreeing to seek the lifting of some sanctions against Moscow, the publication writes.
On Tuesday, Russia said the United States had agreed to help it lift a number of Western sanctions and restrictions on food, fertilizer and shipping companies as a precondition for a maritime security agreement in the Black Sea.
Diplomats told Reuters that most of the restrictions listed by the Kremlin concern European Union sanctions and restrictions.
At the end of January and the beginning of this month, the countries of the European Union extended the validity of two sanctions frameworks against Russia for another six months. Any changes to the sanctions require unanimity of the 27 member states.
