On April 7, Russian special services carried out a large-scale cyberattack on the War&Sanctions portal. 56 million requests were made in half an hour, but the DIU successfully repelled the attack.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine successfully repelled a cyberattack by Russian special services on the War&Sanctions portal, which took place on April 7. This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate, writes UNN.

It is noted that the volume of resources involved indicates a large-scale operation aimed at disabling the portal.
Russia made more than 56 million requests in half an hour, which is about 40,000 requests per second. More than 3,700 virtual machines located in more than 10 countries, including Russia and China, were used for this attack.
Thanks to the high security standards and professionalism of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine team, the Russian special services did not achieve their goal. The portal did not lose any data, and its infrastructure was not damaged
The Main Intelligence Directorate also noted that such large-scale organized actions demonstrate the effectiveness of the portal as a tool to counter the aggressor, "but all the efforts of the Russian special services are futile."
