It is noted that the only legal entity of the streaming music service Spotify in Russia, Spotify LLC, has ceased operations. From the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities shows that the organization was liquidated on December 14. December.
The application for liquidation was sent in February 2023, and the service itself stopped operating in Russia in April 2022.
Context
In early December, it became known that Spotify was laying off 17% of its of the staff, 1500 employees, which was the third large-scale staff reduction in a year. CEO Daniel Ek explained this by large losses and the need to reduce costs.
