Slovenia joins the Czech Republic's initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine outside the European Union.
Slovenia will also support the Czech Republic's initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine outside the European Union. This was announced by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky during a visit to Ljubljana, as quoted by Radio Prague International, UNN reports.
Details
As noted, the official did not name a specific figure that the country will allocate for the purchase of ammunition for Ukraine. According to the Slovenian STA news agency, it is about one million euros.
Austria, on the other hand, refused to join the initiative because of its military neutrality, said Alexander Schallenberg, head of diplomacy there.
Addendum
As Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky previously stated, Ukraine could potentially receive 1.5 million shells under the Czech initiative.
