In 2024, one of the key tasks is to channel the assets of the Russian Federation frozen in the West to Ukraine's recovery. Together with Ukrainian diplomats, we are constantly working on this issue. This was stated on Wednesday by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting, UNN reports.

Russia must pay for everything. In particular, the aggressor must compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine. Therefore, in 2024, one of the key tasks is to direct the assets of the Russian Federation frozen in the West to Ukraine's recovery

According to him, the United States, the European Union, and other countries have come close to resolving this issue. "There are already first precedents of changes to the legislation that provide for mechanisms for transferring funds. Now it is important to bring this into a single clear system, which will involve the EU and G7 countries," the Prime Minister said.
