Saudi Arabia has carried out a series of unpublicized strikes against Iran in response to attacks carried out during the war. This was reported to Reuters by two Western officials briefed on the matter and two Iranian officials, UNN reports.

The Saudi attacks mark the first known instance of the country taking direct military action on Iranian territory and show that it is becoming bolder in defending itself against its main regional rival.
The attacks, launched by the Royal Saudi Air Force, are estimated to have taken place in late March, two Western officials said. One of them said only that they were "retaliatory strikes for attacks on Saudi Arabia."
