During a press conference, Tofan outlined three main priorities of the future government: restoring citizens' trust, improving conditions for business, and advancing the country's European integration.

The goal of my government is to sign the agreement on Moldova's accession to the EU by the end of 2028

said Tofan.

He also joked about his predecessor: "I intend to last more than eight months."

Maia Sandu gave the candidate 15 days to form the composition of the government and prepare a government program for submission to parliament. It is expected that parliament will approve his appointment, as the PAS party has a majority in the legislative body.
