In Sumy region, an office building caught fire and 4 private houses were damaged by a Russian UAV attack. Air defense forces shot down 12 Shahed drones over the region, and 744 drones since the beginning of the year.

Russian troops attacked settlements in Sumy region with drones. The attack resulted in a fire in an office building, and residential buildings were also damaged. During the night and morning of Sunday, the air defense forces shot down 12 “shaheds” over the region. UNN reports this with reference to the Sumy RMA.

At night and in the morning, Russians fired four times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 23 explosions were recorded. Myropilska, Romenska, Dubovyazivska communities were shelled.

- Dubovyazivska community: as a result of the fall of the wreckage of the UAV “Geranium-2” (1 explosion), an office building caught fire.

- Romny community: 4 private houses and a non-residential building were damaged as a result of the fall of debris from a Geranium-2 UAV (2 explosions).

- Myropilska community: the enemy attacked with MLRS (20 explosions).

Today, on December 22, in the sky over Sumy region, air defense units shot down 12 enemy Shahed UAVs.

It is noted that since the beginning of the year, our anti-aircraft gunners have destroyed 744 Russian drones over the region.
