A Russian court has extended the detention of Igor Girkin-Strelkov until June 7, 2024, on charges of extremism. Earlier, Girkin was sentenced to life imprisonment for the downing of MH17.
In Russia, a court has extended the arrest of Igor Girkin-Strelkov for another six months, UNN reports citing RosSIA.
Details
The detention of the former "dnr Defense Minister" in the case of calls for extremism has been extended until June 7, 2024, his support group reports.
The next hearing is scheduled for December 14. The process will be held in closed session.

Igor "Strelkov" Girkin is a former field commander of the "dpr". In November last year, the District Court of The Hague found him guilty of shooting down flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
