Russian troops struck 17 times at civilians in Donetsk region over the past day, in particular, they hit Avdiivka, the regional police reported on Saturday, UNN said.

A civilian was killed and two houses destroyed during hostile shelling in Chasovyi Yar, according to police.
Russian troops attacked Toretsk with Grad rocket launchers and artillery, wounding a man. Five private houses were damaged.
Another civilian was injured in a shelling in Bohdanivka.
The Russian army conducted an air strike on the village of Pivnichne. 8 private houses were destroyed. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

Russian occupants are actively but unsuccessfully trying to get into the territory of Avdiivka Coke Plant. The plant is controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to the General Staff.
