Due to the heat, restrictions have been introduced on state roads for vehicles over 24 tons. The measures are in effect when the temperature exceeds +28°C to preserve the asphalt pavement.

On state roads in Ukraine, seasonal traffic restrictions for heavy vehicles have been introduced during periods of rising air temperatures. This was reported by the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development, reports UNN.
Details
Due to rising air temperatures, seasonal traffic restrictions for heavy vehicles are being introduced on state roads. Such measures are necessary to preserve the road surface in hot conditions, as asphalt concrete pavement becomes more vulnerable to loads at high temperatures
The restrictions will apply to heavy vehicles with an actual weight exceeding 24 tons and an axle load exceeding 7 tons when the air temperature is above +28°C.
On state roads, as well as on main logistics routes, appropriate road signs and information boards will be installed.
Together with the National Police, Ukrtransbezpeka, local authorities, and owners of roadside service facilities, locations for temporary parking of heavy vehicles during the restriction period are being determined
At the same time, the restrictions will not apply to:
- vehicles eliminating the consequences of emergencies;
- transportation of dangerous and perishable goods;
- transportation of live animals and poultry;
- military transportation and transportation of cargo for defense needs.
