The Russian Defense Ministry announced a massive strike on Ukraine's energy and fuel infrastructure in response to the ATACMS attack on Taganrog. Ukrainian air defense shot down 81 of 94 missiles and 80 of 193 drones.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that today Russia shelled Ukrainian energy and fuel infrastructure in retaliation for an alleged attack by ATACMS missiles on a military airfield near Taganrog. UNN reports this with reference to a post by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram.
On December 11, 2024, six American-made ATACMS tactical missiles were launched from the territory of Ukraine at a military airfield near the city of Taganrog. In response to the use of American long-range weapons, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive strike with long-range air- and sea-based precision weapons and strike unmanned aerial vehicles against critical facilities of Ukraine's fuel and energy infrastructure that ensure the operation of the military-industrial complex
The Russian ministry added that the goal of the strike was allegedly achieved and that all objects were allegedly hit.

In the skies over Ukraine , air defense forces shot down 81 of 94 missiles and 80 of 193 enemy drones fired by the Russian army between 2 p.m. on December 12 and 10 a.m. on December 13.
As a result of a massive missile and drone attack by the Russian Federation, power facilities in several regions were damaged, and the schedules of blackouts have been tightened - currently, three stages are being applied simultaneously in all regions.
