Rescue teams in Odesa have evacuated 1,927 people, including 138 children, and towed 538 vehicles in the face of snowstorms, and continue to clear roads and restore services. The situation has been complicated by the lack of proper access to Reni EECP and heating disruptions due to an accident at the boiler house.

The situation is improving, in particular due to the stabilization of weather conditions and fewer desperate people who decided to defy the elements and go on the road anyway. This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, according to UNN.

Kiper added that 218 units of SES equipment and more than 800 workers were involved in clearing the roads.

According to him, about 150 cars and 300 people are currently stuck in snow drifts.

"We are doing everything possible to complete all rescue operations as soon as possible. Stay safe, do not leave your homes unless necessary, allow rescuers, police, power engineers, and utilities to complete their work," Kiper emphasized.

He emphasized that there is still no proper access to the Reni checkpoint.

"The checkpoint itself is working, but there is still no proper access to it. There has been a lot of precipitation," he said on the air of the "United News" marathon.

The head of the OVA also reported on the situation with electricity supply in Odesa. He said that part of the neighborhood remains without heating due to an accident at the boiler house.

"All services are working to restore heat. To dismantle the blockages that have occurred and launch a backup boiler. To provide heat to the apartments at night. This is the best case scenario. If there are any changes, we are preparing schools to set up heating points there," he said.
