The Court of Appeal upheld the sentence of a 37-year-old man, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for raping and committing lewd acts against his 7-year-old and 12-year-old stepdaughters. The crimes were committed in 2019 and 2023.
The Court of Appeal upheld the sentence handed down to a 37-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia region for the rape and sexual abuse of his seven- and 12-year-old stepdaughters. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison, UNN reports, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The crime is provided for under Parts 4 and 6 of Article 152 and Part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to the investigation, back in 2019, the man committed sexual violence against the seven-year-old daughter of his cohabiting partner.
Because of her age and the emotions caused by what she had experienced, the child did not report the crime for a long time. However, in August 2023, the mother of the second victim — his 12-year-old stepdaughter — contacted law enforcement. She learned about what had happened from a neighbor who had witnessed the crime.
In total, the investigation established three episodes dating to 2019 and 2023.
