The Security Service of Ukraine has denied claims that a "defense party" has appealed the arrest of SBU head Vasyl Malyuk in absentia in Moscow, calling it part of a Russian discrediting campaign.

The Security Service of Ukraine responded to the statements of racists that some "defense" allegedly appealed the arrest of SBU Head Vasyl Malyuk in absentia in Moscow and emphasized that this is part of a discrediting campaign by Russia, UNN reports.

Details

The Security Service of Ukraine urged the media to perceive any statements by the Russian authorities and Russian courts regarding the arrest in absentia of SBU Head Vasyl Malyuk and the alleged appeal of the "sentence" in one of the Moscow courts on his behalf as a manifestation of hostile ISIS.

Neither the SBU nor Vasyl Malyuk personally contacted any lawyers to appeal the fake decisions of Russian courts. This information is completely untrue. And the "defense", which allegedly files appeals on behalf of the SBU Head, is, accordingly, part of a discrediting campaign by Russia. All activities carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine fully comply with the norms of national and international legislation

- the SBU reported.
