The Verkhovna Rada dismissed 7 members of the Accounting Chamber whose term of office expired in 2024, while 5 members remained, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Tuesday, UNN reports.
Details
"The Parliament dismissed 7 members of the Accounting Chamber whose term of office expired on March 15, 2024. We are talking about: Bohun, Didyk, Unknown, Ivanova, Ogon, Yaremchuk, and Maisner," Zheleznyak said on Telegram.
According to him, the MPs cast 264 votes in favor.
"The Accounting Chamber will have 5 members. But my colleagues insist that it will still be able to make decisions (well, that's how they creatively interpret the quorum)," the MP said.
At the same time, Zheleznyak wrote that "the reform of the Accounting Chamber is very likely to be funded by the United States...and not only by them." "Therefore, this is not the last dismissal from the current Accounting Chamber... there will be at least 5 more," the MP said.
Addendum
They will remain members of the Accounting Chamber: Kyrylo Klymenko, Serhiy Kliuchka, Hennadiy Plis, Yelyzaveta Pushko-Tsybulyak and the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber Olha Pishchanska.
Recall
Today, the Rada planned to consider the dismissal of the Accounting Chamber member Andriy Didyk, who has submitted his resignation.
At the same time, the Council postponed most of the high-profile dismissals that had been discussed.
