Head of Odesa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper paid a working visit to Izmail district of Odesa region, UNN reports .
Details
During the visit, the head of the regional state administration paid considerable attention to medicine. In particular, Kiper visited the Izmail City Central Hospital, where he familiarized himself with the progress of the reconstruction of a new neurological department with a stroke unit and a rehabilitation department.
Currently, it provides all the conditions for the treatment and recovery of people after strokes. In the same medical facility, we visited the PCR laboratory, which was overhauled this year. This gave doctors the opportunity to conduct more than 600 (PCR) tests per day. PCR tests have a high sensitivity and allow detecting the presence of infection at early stages
Kiper also inspected the Izmail City Health Care Center, which operates a transfusion department that provides red blood cells and plasma to all medical institutions in Izmail district and part of Bolhrad district.
The unit operates 24/7. This year, with the support of the humanitarian non-profit organization International Medical Corps, the department's material and technical base was completely updated: freezers, refrigerators, mixers, centrifuges, and sealers. In the near future we will improve conditions for doctors and patients
Kiper paid special attention to the oxygen station at the Danube Regional Hospital of the Odesa Regional Council.
We are currently planning its modernization. This will make it possible to provide oxygen to medical institutions in the Southern region of Odesa Oblast, as well as ambulance stations. Ensuring quality and affordable healthcare in Odesa region is one of the main areas of our work
Recall
The healthcare sector is a priority for Kiper. We would also like to add that the Odesa Regional State Administration recently received 7 modern electric vehicles for primary health care from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
