On the night of December 25, the occupiers used more than 10 sea-based missiles to attack Ukraine. The defense forces were prepared for the attack as they observed the enemy's preparations.
Russia used more than 10 sea-based missiles to launch a large-scale attack on Ukraine on the night of December 24-25, but this did not come as a surprise to the Defense Forces, as preparations for the attack had been underway beforehand. This was stated by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk during a telethon, UNN reports .
Details
The control zones remain the same as they were, because there are no such reasons that can somehow affect the change in the balance of power. Yesterday, they probably used at least two units (of missile launchers - ed.), and they were involved in the strikes, because more than 10 missiles were launched, for sure, from sea-based missiles
He noted that the missiles fired from the sea were not a surprise.
“Given that we could see preparations for a strike, it was logical that the ships would also be used in this case. We were prepared for this in principle, so we can say that the situation is not unusual. They sometimes leave their basing point to launch a strike and immediately return under the cover of their air defense on the shore,” Pletenchuk added.
In addition, according to him, there is no information on the successful use of Kalibr missiles fired by Russian ships, which “confirms the thesis that the main purpose of using this tool is to load Ukrainian air defense and nothing more.
