The Russian authorities are planning to increase security measures and surveillance complexes on the Kerch bridge connecting Crimea to Russia as the May holidays and summer tourist season approach, with possible traffic restrictions in case of a missile attack.
The number of observation complexes on the Kerch Bridge will be increased as the May holidays and the beginning of the holiday season approach. This was stated by the Russian Head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, UNN reports with reference to Krym.Realii.
According to him, the average waiting time to cross the bridge during peak hours is about one hour.
"However, in the event of an emergency, such as the threat of a missile attack, traffic may be temporarily restricted," Aksyonov said.
Earlier, a Russian official said that for security reasons, the May 9 parade and the "Immortal Regiment" rally would not be held in Crimea.
