The Ukrainian Navy spokesperson confirmed that the building of the Sevastopol naval base, which is responsible for supplying the Russian Black Sea Fleet, was among the objects hit during a Ukrainian missile strike on occupied Crimea on March 24.

"If we talk about the damage to facilities directly on the territory of Crimea, we can state that among them was the building of the Sevastopol naval base. If this facility functioned as it was named, it would be a serious loss for the Black Sea Fleet of the so-called Russian Federation. It is this structure that is responsible for the supply of the Black Sea Fleet, solving many current issues - from fuel and provisions to ammunition, weapons and ship security. Yes, this facility is very serious. Communication is also one of the elements that they may lose," Pletenchuk said.
