In Ukraine, MRI of the brain is prescribed by a doctor based on a person's condition or diagnosis. For such a diagnosis, the patient is given a referral. This is reported by the NHSU, UNN writes.
With a referral, the examination can be done free of charge in institutions that have a corresponding agreement for the NHSU package and the actual CT scanner,
They noted that in Ukraine, both military and civilians are entitled to free medical examinations under the Medical Guarantee Program through the same route:
- availability of a referral;
- search for a medical institution;
- making an appointment for an examination.
However, if the case is not urgent, the wait for the examination should be treated with understanding.
Finding the address and contacts of institutions where you can get a free MRI of the brain will help:
- contact center operator at 16-77;
- You can also find such facilities on the NHSU website.
