Moscow "hopes" that the administration of the elected US President Donald Trump, including Trump's special representative on Ukraine issues, Keith Kellogg, will analyze the "root causes" of what the publication called the "Ukrainian conflict" (On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale military attack on Ukraine - ed.), and is ready for consultations to clarify its position, Lavrov said.
"I very much hope that the administration of Mr. Trump, including Mr. Kellogg, will delve into the root causes of the conflict. We are ready for consultations and for another confirmation of our position, which has been repeatedly expressed loudly and clearly: we are open to any negotiations, if they are substantive and touch upon the root causes and principles that President Putin defined in June of this year," Lavrov said in an interview with Russian and foreign media.
