Money spent on treatment can be reimbursed under the medical insurance program - MHC

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reminds about the possibility of reimbursement of funds for inpatient treatment under the medical guarantee program. Patients can get a refund for services already paid for by the NHIS.
There is a list of services that the provider is obliged to provide to patients free of charge; there are packages of inpatient care, such as oncology treatment, assistance in case of stroke or heart attack. This is recalled by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, reports UNN.
Details
The MOH reported that the reimbursement of funds spent by the patient during inpatient treatment in institutions contracted with the NHSU, the National Health Service of Ukraine - is valid.
The National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) pays for the treatment process if the patient was an inpatient in a hospital that has a contract with the NHSU for the relevant package.
If a patient has been charged for services that the NHS has already paid for, they can get that money back.
Important:
For each package of the Medical Guarantee Program, there is a list of services that the provider is obliged to provide to patients free of charge. These can be inpatient care packages or other packages, such as oncology treatment, stroke or heart attack care, etc.
The facility is obliged to provide the patient with medicines from the National List of Essential Medicines, as well as those supplied centrally through the Medical Procurement of Ukraine procurement.
