Moldova has declared one of the employees of the russian embassy persona non grata for organizing the presidential elections in unrecognized Transnistria. This was reported by UNN with reference to a statement by the Moldovan Foreign Ministry on its Facebook page.

It is noted that russian Ambassador Oleg Vassnetsov was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was given a protest in connection with the organization of the presidential elections in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, contrary to the position of the Moldovan authorities.
In this context, the ambassador was handed a note stating that one of the embassy's employees had been declared persona non grata in the Republic of Moldova and must leave the country
