Man opens fire at ex-girlfriend's workplace

A 54-year-old resident of Cherkasy is suspected of firing three shots from a traumatic weapon at the door and window of the room where his former common-law wife was staying. The suspect was served a notice of suspicion of hooliganism and a measure of restraint was chosen.
In Cherkasy region, a man was served a notice of suspicion for shooting with a traumatic weapon at the door and window of the premises where his former common-law wife works, and a pre-trial restraint was imposed on him, the Cherkasy regional prosecutor's office said on Thursday, UNN reports.

According to the prosecutor's office, "the man, on the basis of long-term hostile relations, while at the place of work of his former common-law wife, fired three shots from a traumatic firearm at the front door and window of the room where the 56-year-old woman was staying, and left the crime scene.
"A 54-year-old resident of Cherkasy was served a notice of suspicion of hooliganism committed with the use of firearms (Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office said
The investigating judge imposed a measure of restraint on the suspect in the form of a personal commitment.
