In February 2024, the First Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice, after reviewing the materials of the disciplinary proceedings against Kormushyn, decided to bring him to disciplinary responsibility and impose a penalty in the form of a motion for dismissal.

"From the date of the Disciplinary Chamber's decision to impose a disciplinary sanction in the form of a motion to dismiss a judge from office, the judge is automatically suspended from the administration of justice until the High Council of Justice decides to dismiss him or her or to cancel the decision of the Disciplinary Chamber," the statement said.

On the website of the High Council of Justice, Kormushyn is listed as one of the judges dismissed for committing significant disciplinary violations.

At the same time, according to UNN , a judge's ID card was found on him during his detention.
