Ukraine condemns the IOC's decision to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Games, citing their shared responsibility in the conflict.
Ukraine condemns the decision of the International Olympic Committee, which allowed Belarusian and Russian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games. This is stated in the statement of acting of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvyi Bidnyi, UNN reports.

The ministry emphasized that the decision of the IOC Executive Committee to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to hide behind fake neutrality is irresponsible.

Only recently, the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach announced that the IOC will make the relevant decision only in March next year
He emphasized that Russian athletes have the same passports as the occupiers who are killing Ukrainians. The official emphasized that all Russians bear part of the responsibility for the deaths of Ukrainians.
We strongly condemn the irresponsible decision of the IOC Executive Board members. Regarding Ukraine's participation in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games: we will make a decision later, after we have consulted with the Ukrainian sports community and the country's top political leadership.
