The naval forces of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz until further notice and threatened not to allow any vessel to pass through it. This was reported by The Times of Israel, citing Iranian state media, writes UNN.

According to the Iranian side, the decision was made until the cessation of US "interference" in the region. It is also reported that the military fired a warning shot at a vessel that allegedly attempted to traverse an "unauthorized" route. After that, according to Tehran, the vessel stopped.
