In Volyn, the State Bureau of Investigation detained an official of the State Labor Service, who for a bribe promised to "hush up" the fact of the death of a minor in the workplace. UNN writes about this with reference to the SBI.

SBI employees exposed and detained the acting head of one of the departments of the Western Interregional Department of the State Labor Service. For a bribe, the official promised the businessman not to check the fact of the death of a minor boy at his enterprise

It is reported that the tragedy occurred in early January this year due to a fire in the premises of a private woodworking hangar. Law enforcement and regulatory authorities sent official letters to the State Labor Service on the need to investigate the accident.

However, the responsible official of the State Service offered a representative of the company five thousand US dollars in order to conduct an inspection. The man involved a mediator in the transfer of money, who received the entire amount of illegal profit in Lutsk on March 26.

SBI officers, together with the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police, detained the official and the mediator in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine (detention by an authorized official). They were informed of suspicion of receiving illegal benefits by an official (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years with confiscation of property.
