Two Malaysian Navy helicopters collided in mid-air during a rehearsal for a naval parade on Tuesday, April 23, killing all 10 crew members on board, the Navy said in a statement. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

It is noted that the plane crash occurred at 09:32 local time at the Lumut Naval Base in the western state of Perak.
All of the victims were pronounced dead on the spot, and the remains were sent to Lumut Military Hospital for identification,
Footage published in local media shows that one of the helicopters hit the rotor of the other before both crashed into the ground. Local police confirmed the authenticity of the footage. The navy said it would investigate the cause of the crash.
Defense Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that the helicopters were rehearsing for a parade in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Navy, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday.
According to Mohamed Khaled, attempts are underway to identify the deceased crew members, who were under the age of 40.
