At all entrances to Kyiv, the movement of heavy vehicles weighing more than 24 tons will be restricted when the air temperature exceeds +28°C. The restrictions are introduced to protect the road surface from damage.

At all entrances to Kyiv, traffic of trucks will be restricted when the air temperature exceeds +28°C. The corresponding measures are introduced during forecasted heat to protect the road surface from damage, reports UNN referring to the Official Portal of Kyiv.

Details

It concerns heavy vehicles with a total mass of over 24 tons and an axle load of over 7 tons. The restrictions are in effect in accordance with the order of the Kyiv City State Administration dated July 7, 2012, No. 1173 "On restricting the movement of heavy vehicles on the streets and roads of Kyiv in connection with rising air temperatures."

Compliance with this decision by drivers of heavy vehicles will be monitored by the Patrol Police Department in Kyiv
