Recall
One of the main versions of mass infection of people was considered precisely tap water.
The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko spoke about this, in particular.
"Regarding the source of the outbreak in Vinnytsia. Many teams worked there, the chief state sanitary doctor traveled, and the Public Health Center and the Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention are working with the Department of Health, infectious disease specialists. The issue is that the source has not been clearly established , where the outbreak started. Various options were considered, and we prefer the water supply network the most," the minister said.
As one of the main ones, it was also considered in the Department of Health Care and Rehabilitation of Vinnytsia Oblast.
"The Vinnytsia Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine considered 2 versions: the contact-household route of transmission and the water route of transmission," the Department reported in response to UNN's request.
This version was considered, in particular, due to the fact that significant deviations in microbiological and chemical indicators were recorded in Vinnytsia water samples.
Thus, according to the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, Ihor Kuzin, more than 400 water samples were taken from the water supply network and other sources of water supply in the city. Almost 30% were recorded as exceeding the norm according to microbiological indicators, which is a significant deviation from the norm. The main reason for this is the wear and tear of water supply networks.
"Indeed, there are several main reasons here. These are quite frequent breakthroughs, wear and tear of water supply networks. We worked with "Vinnytsia Oblvodokanal" to adjust the relevant technological regulations used in the city. I note that 30% is a rather high indicator, if you consider the fact that on average in the Vinnytsia region such an indicator usually does not exceed 11%, and in Ukraine it is 7.5%. Regarding the chemical indicators of drinking water. According to the results of the research of all water samples, the deviation from the norm was found to be almost 60%. This is also quite a high indicator, because on average in Ukraine we register about 20% of deviations," said Kuzin.
Additionally
More than 70% of patients with hepatitis A with hepatitis A bought food at the local Vinnytsia market. We have tested the workers of the market and epidemically dangerous enterprises and The probable source of the disease was found.
