The head of the Sumy regional military administration said there is no risk of a border breakout, but the region faces increased danger from Russian air and missile attacks on infrastructure.

Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Artyukh said against the backdrop of increased shelling of the region that there is no risk of a border breakthrough, UNN reports with reference to Radio Liberty.

"The biggest danger to our region is air and missile strikes, which have become much more intense on our infrastructure," he said.

Up to five inhabited border towns in Sumy region are affected by shelling, the head explains. In each of them, there are 3 to 10 people left, who are currently being evacuated by the Armed Forces.
