The Ukrainian military rescued a 44-year-old man who had been trapped under the rubble in Novokalynove for more than six days despite constant shelling. There are fears that the man's brother has been killed, and special equipment is needed to continue the search.

Soldiers of the 52nd separate rifle battalion, which are subordinate to the 31st Brigade, rescued a man near Avdiivka who was trapped under the rubble of a house as a result of a direct hit. This was reported by the police of the Donetsk region, UNN writes.

A local resident was trapped under the rubble of a house in the village of Novokalynove as a result of a direct hit. Arriving at the destroyed house, the military confirmed that there was indeed a person under the rubble.

The rescue operation was complicated by shelling by the occupiers. Risking their lives, the servicemen lifted the 44-year-old owner of the house from the rubble, who had been fighting for his life for more than 6 days. The rescued man said that his 39-year-old brother was with him at the time of the shelling, who was probably killed, as he showed no signs of life. To continue search and rescue operations for the other man, special equipment is needed

The soldiers took the victim out and handed him over to the White Angel police crew, who took him to the hospital. The victim is currently receiving the necessary treatment. He thanked the soldiers and police who saved him.

The head of the Donetsk police, Ruslan Osypenko, personally thanked the servicemen and awarded them with letters of commendation.

Soldiers of the 52nd Separate Rifle Battalion, which is subordinate to the 31st Brigade, took part in the rescue operation.
