Harvest 2024: Ukrainian farmers have already harvested 15.7 million tons of grains and oilseeds

Farmers in all regions of Ukraine harvested 15.7 million tons of early grains and oilseeds from 4.4 million hectares. Odesa, Dnipro and Mykolaiv regions are the leaders in terms of harvest, and Ivano-Frankivsk region is the best in terms of yield.
Farmers in all regions are harvesting early grain crops. In total, 4,403.25 thousand hectares of grain and oilseeds have been threshed, and 15.7 million tons of new crops have been harvested. This was stated by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, UNN reports.
Details
In particular:
- wheat - 2,626.5 thou hectares were threshed, 10.3 mln tons were harvested;
- Barley - 824.2 thou hectares were threshed, with a harvest of 3.1 mln tons;
- peas - 154.7 thou hectares threshed, 319.3 thou tons harvested;
- Rapeseed - 779.1 thousand hectares were threshed, 1.8 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- Soybeans - 0.15 thou hectares threshed, 0.29 thou tons harvested.
Addendum
Farmers in Kherson region have started harvesting millet, threshing 50 hectares and harvesting 80 tons of seeds.
The leaders in grain harvesting are agrarians of the following regions: Odesa region - 629.4 thou hectares harvested, Dnipropetrovs'k region - 544.2 thou hectares harvested, Mykolaiv region, where 527.5 thou hectares were harvested.
Ivano-Frankivsk region is the leader in terms of yield with 65.1 c/ha.

This year, the Ukrainian government has provided over UAH220 million to 55 agricultural enterprises for the development of horticulture, berry growing, viticulture, and greenhouse farming.
